Beoley WI
At our January meeting, we sat captivated while 'magician, musician, fraudulent spiritualist and international playboy, retired' David Moylan entertained us with magic, music, recitation, recollection and humour! We also had a quiz. Jean Alker, a WI member for 53 years, was presented with a farewell gift and wished all happiness in her future life in Bath. President Joan Lovett told us about the year's forthcoming events, which include a spring visit to Bodenham Arboretum. The competition, for an unusual pack of cards, was won by Hilary Lediard, with one featuring Wales.
The next meeting, on February 2, will be at 7.30pm at Beoley Village Hall, and Helen Lloyd will talk about 'Living Back to Back.' The competition is for old kitchen equipment. New members are welcome.
