AWARD-winning children’s author Philip Ardagh spent the day inspiring pupils at Temple Grafton CE School.
During his visit on Monday, March 14, students put on an exhibition of their work to share with the author.
The youngsters have been working with Escape Arts and Playbox Theatre to explore the themes in Ardagh’s books about the Grunt family.
A spokesman for the school said: "Staff and pupils at Temple Grafton were delighted to welcome the children’s author Philip Ardagh.
"The project has provided a fantastic stimulus for the children’s writing and Philip Ardagh was very impressed with the results."
Mr Ardagh, widely-known for his Eddie Dickens series of books, scooped the category seven to 14 years Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2009.
