BIDFORD’S Budgens store is making a move toward stocking 100 per cent British meat and poultry. The Budgens stores are all owned and managed by local people, and Guy Warner who owns the Bidford branch is changing the shop’s own SuperValu range of beef, chicken, turkey, pork and lamb to be British and Red Tractor approved, which means that customers can also be sure the animals have been well treated. Mr Warner, said: “As an independent, local retailer, it’s so important that we can respond to the demands of our local customers. High quality fresh meat is key to most people’s daily shop, so there’s no compromise, they need to know they’re getting the best.”
