REDDITCH United signed off their home campaign with a win over Tiverton Town last Saturday.

The Reds had to dig deep after Tom Fishwick saw red in the first half but still bagged a 3-2 win thanks to a brace from Adam Page and a Stuart Fleetwood strike.

The success also saw them bounce back from last Thursday's disappointing 1-0 loss at St Ives Town.

Boss Tim Harris was pleased to be able to give the fans at the Trico Stadium something to cheer as the season draws to a close.

He said: "It was a very good performance. I thought the lads were very committed.

"We made it difficult for ourselves when Tom Fishwick got sent off but we did well and I think everyone enjoyed the game.

"We were awful against St Ives and have been very inconsistent so it was pleasing that we reacted and put on a show for the fans."

Redditch now go to Merthyr Town this Saturday to bring the curtain down on the season.

Harris wants to end on a high against one of his former clubs.

He added: "Everyone knows how poor our away form has been but hopefully we can end well.

"The bottom line is that we have nothing to play for except our own pride."

Reds will be without the suspended Fishwick this weekend but hope Tyler Weir and Josh Ezewele will overcome injury.

Meanwhile, the boss was full of praise for hitman Fleetwood after he found the back of the net once again against Tiverton.

He said: "He has really shown what he can do since I came here.

"He has been important to us and has really shown what a good finisher he is."
