FECKENHAM snapped up an exciting 37 run success over Stourport in Worcester County League Division One.

Although Feckenham didn't make the best of starts with the bat when they lost opener Luke Jackson to the second ball of the game, they went onto post a competitive total of 253 before being bowled out with four balls to spare.

Solid batting from Muhammed Idrees with 46, Jamie Griffiths on 32 and Josh Stacey who hit 33 was reinforced further when skipper Jamie Reddish reeled off 51.

Stourport lost wickets at regular intervals in reply as strike bowlers Matt Henning and Tom Coulson both helped themselves to four wickets.

The outcome appeared a formality when Stourport's last wicket partnership of Matt Delo and Steve Yarsley came to the wicket with 70 runs still required.

But the tailenders had different ideas and began to smash the ball to all parts of the ground.

Their resistance was finally brought to a halt when Yarsley was caught on the boundary by Jamie Griffiths having struck an entertaining 47, while Delo was unbeaten on 28 not out.

Feckenham travel to Bewdley this Saturday.
