STUDLEY hope to kick-off a stable season in Midlands Division One on Saturday.
The Bees have been handed a tricky opening day home clash against on highly-rated Boleshall Swifts (3pm ko), before going to Pershore Town on Tuesday night (7.45pm ko).
Last season Studley went through three managers, losing Paul Smith to league rivals Bromsgrove Sporting, while Adrian Mander left because of work commitments.
Kevin Kingham was handed sole charge of the club and did well to put a squad together after a mass exodus.
But he’s built a completely new squad including local players such as captain Dave Edwards, who played for Sunday league Black Horse, Brendan Hicks and striker Danny Stokes, who was Coventry United’s top scorer for three seasons.
Kingham said: “I felt for the guys at Studley last year. they are proper football people.
“We’ve tried to bring in local guys and try and make sure there is some stability.”
The Bees enjoyed a pre-season wins over Whitnash and Fairfield Villa but and had good run outs but lost to Chasetown, Romulus and Cradley.
