WARWICKIANS 0, REDDITCH 79

REDDITCH notched up their biggest victory for at least six years with a 13-try haul against bottom-of-the-league Warwickians in Midlands Division Four West (South).

The Kingfishers’ forwards were dominant around the park which gave plenty of possession to throw the ball around between forwards and backs.

Ben Stanyard and Jack Duffy were the standout players in the first half, both scoring a hat-trick and adding another score each in the second half.

Lewis Saddington also ran in a long-range effort to add to the home team’s woes.

The second period delivered much of the same, particularly with recent signing Jack Fairhurst commanding proceedings at fly-half, allowing Saddington to attack lines in the centres.

Both scored a try a piece along with Josh Holt and Paul Barnett.

The Kingfishers have more players to return to the squad and will look optimistically on the following couple of months leading to the Christmas break.

They take a break from league action next week, travelling to Aldridge in a Cup fixture, followed by Atherstone at home on November 15.

Meanwhile, the Exiles got the better of Old Griffinians with a 52-21 victory. Redditch soon scored the first of eight tries as the wide open spaces left gaps to be exploited.

Jack Bac opened the scoring, while Davie Brisbourne bagged twice after linking up well with Garry Mills.

Brisbourned scored another try after liking up well with Mills again and Tim Aris pounced on a loose ball from the ruck and scooted to the try line. The Exiles scored three more tries and despite Griff pulling back three converted efforts, they recorded a comfortable win.
