COOKHILL enjoyed a 69-run win over Stanway in the Cotswold Hills League Division Four on Saturday.
With stand-in skipper Andy Fennell losing the toss, Cookhill were put in to bat by the visitors on a damp wicket and struggled to 145 all out.
Only Rich Lewis (22) and Stuart Griffiths (38) got to grips with the conditions.
But Cookhill kept things tight and took wickets at regular intervals to eventually bowl the visitors out for 76.
In-form spinners Neil Shuttleworth (4-9) and Kieran Kite (1-7) did the majority of the damage.
Cookhill are fourth in the table and they have lost just once in the last four playable games.
They travel to third-placed Blockley on Saturday (1.30pm start).
Meanwhile, it is a big night in the history of Cookhill on July 14, when the juniors play their first-ever game away at Tanworth and Camphill (6pm start).
