STRIKER Charisma Agbonlahor has bolstered Alvechurch's striking options.

The powerful forward, brother of Aston Villa strike Gabriel, has re-joined the club where it all started for him by switching from local rivals Studley.

Manager Ross Thorpe said: "I've known Charisma for a number of years.

"I remember when he burst onto the scene and I used to say to him he was so quick I'd have to kick him!

"He's played for Romulus, Redditch and Studley so he knows this level of football really well and will give us another option up front."

Alvechurch have also added young Racing Club Warwick defender Jordan Cullinante-Liburd.

Alvechurch already have the likes of Stuart Parsons, Anthony Fitzmaurice, Scott Smith, Jesse Race, Chris Hughes, Mark Bandurak, Dale Edwards and Jack Cresswell signed up.

Thorpe also bolstered his back room staff with the addition for former Aston Villa Ladies, West Bromwich Albion Ladies and Coventry Ladies coach Rob Williams.

Williams has been involved at University of Birmingham, is an FA Mentor and tutor.

With Keith Rostill employed as his number two earlier in the summer, Thorpe was pleased to see his back room fall into place.

The new man is also head coach of England Women's College under-19s team.

He said: "Rob comes with a great track record in ladies football.

"He will compliment Keith and my own style well.

"Rob's back ground of working with younger players will also be a benefit for some of the inexperienced guys at the club.

"He will also be working with Bournville College as part of our link-up."

Meanwhile, Alvechurch have been forced to rearrange Saturday's pre-season friendly.

They had been scheduled to play Oadby but they have pulled out. Church will now play Solihull Moors at Four Dwellings School in Birmingham on Saturday.

The Quinton-based school is the venue for the club's winter training.
