Kingfishers no match for Pedmore

REDDITCH suffered a 94-run defeat to Pedmore in Worcestershire County League Division One.

The Kingfishers restricted Pedmore to 207-9 with Greg Chinn (3-52) and Waqas Ali (2-42) in good form, but in reply they were dismissed for 113, with Christopher Weaver top-scoring with 25. Redditch go to Worcester Nomads on Saturday.

In the Cotswold Hills League Division One, Alcester & Ragley went down by 24 runs to Norton Lindsey.

In Division Four, Cookhill lost by 72 runs to Great Alne. Cookhill dismissed Alne for 153 (Andy Fennell 2-20 and Keiran Kite 3-28) but were bowled out for 81.

The seconds defeated Warwick by five wickets.
