FECKENHAM go into their opening Midland Combination match with Massey Ferguson on Saturday brimming with confidence.

Manager Neil Randall has seen his side go through pre-season unbeaten, a run that culminated in the 1-1 draw with Studley on Saturday.

"This is virtually a brand new eleven from last season and I'm looking forward to the start of the season," the Millers boss admitted.

Defender Chris McGrath is the latest player to put pen to paper, following striker Shaun Maynard and his goalkeeping brother Paul.

"Although they had the better players, I thought we deserved our draw with Studley," Randall said.

"Matthew Hill scored a goal on the break and, apart from the first 15 minutes when they were the better side, I thought we matched them.

"We still have a few players to come back into the side but I'm hoping to have them back for the visit of Massey Ferguson on Saturday."

The game, at Studley's Beehive Ground, kicks off at 3pm.
