IMPRESSIVE Alcester kept the pressure on Midlands Division 4 West South leaders Stoke Old Boys and Bromyard by pulverising Pershore 58-5.
This was Alcester's seventh straight league win and the third time in four home games they have topped the 50 point mark.
Alcester ran in a total of 10 tries as Pershore perished in the closing stages.
Full back Jamie Clarke opened the scoring for Alcester and went onto score a hat-trick of tries.
Further tries from fly half Josh O'Connor, No 8 Phil Birks, lock Louis Smith and a second from Clarke put Alcester 22-5 ahead by half time, skipper Jack Green adding one conversion.
O'Connor snapped up his second try after the break with left wing Lewis Walker, flanker Ben Hope and 17-year-old debut boy Oscar Holland adding their names to the scoresheet.
Clarke and Walker completed the try-scoring spree while O'Connor kicked the remaining points to seal an emphatic win.
Alcester take a break from league action this week when they face Old Yardleians second string before they take on local rivals Redditch on December 10.
Alcester Seconds lost 42-12 at Chaddesley Corbett.
They face another former league side now only playing social rugby when hosting Birmingham based Dixonians at Kings Coughton on Saturday starting at 2-15pm.
