REDDITCH middleweight Carl Dickens made a successful return to the ring with a points win over Halesowen hard-man Kevin McAuley.

Dickens out pointed his rival 39-38 at Walsall Town Hall over four rounds, despite slipping in the third.

The 31-year-old now boasts seven professional wins and just one defeat.
