HOCKEY: Redditch Men ended their four-game losing streak by defeating Wednesbury 2-1 in the West Midlands Premier.
Goals for Steve Cook and Matt Grubb sealed the points as Redditch moved up to eighth in the table.
The Kingfishers tackle fourth-placed Aldridge and Walsall at home on Saturday (1.30pm start).
The Men's thirds went down 6-2 to an experienced Stafford side.
The away side produced some slick hockey and powered into a 4-1 half-time lead.
Ben Husbands scored Redditch's first goal.
In the second half, Will Moss pulled another back for the home side to make it 4-2.
But Redditch's opponents upped their game as the home side poured forward and bagged two more goals.
Redditch men's thirds face Finchfield away for their final match before the Christmas break.
Meanwhile, the Ladies and Badgers teams saw their games called off because of frozen pitches.
