THREE promising Bromsgrove and Redditch AC junior athletes turned in great debut performances at the Rowheath five kilometre run.
Conor Smith, Bryn Turner and Tom Neylon were in good form and finished
18th, 43rd and 44th respectively, in a field of almost 200.
The race was part of a series hosted by the Birmingham Running Athletics and Triathlon Club.
Smith completed his race in 17 minutes and 17 seconds, four seconds off his club record, followed by Turner in 18-29 and Neylon in 18-34.
Coach Vince Rollason was particularly pleased with the athletes’ efforts as notably they were the first three finishers in the under 17s age category, while in the under 20 category they finished highly placed in very creditable sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively.
