TITLE-CHASING Woodrush kept the pressure on leaders Harbury in the Midlands Division Four West (South) as they trounced Claverdon 30-6.
It took 12 minutes before outside-half Ed Gardiner broke through wide on the right to open the scoring for the visitors.
The script took a twist when the influential Gardiner went off with a knee injury and Claverdon hit back through two penalties.
Woodrush steadied themselves with the introduction of experienced fly-half Steve Smart and two penalties from full-back Josh Tomlinson ensured they led at half-time with a narrow 11-6 advantage.
But after the break, two tries from scrum-half Titch Thomas and one from flanker Anton Taylor put Woodrush firmly on the road to victory.
Second-placed Woodrush, who are a point behind Harbury, entertain Coventrians on Saturday.
