HAT-TRICK hero Jermaine Hylton is one of the best strikers in the Calor Southern League, according to Redditch boss Liam McDonald.
The former Kidderminster man is just one of a number of McDonald’s young guns attracting attention from clubs higher up the ladder, including the Harriers.
“Being a mid-table side we are very lucky to have a player of Jermaine’s drive and ability playing for us,”
he said.
”I feel he has improved so much over the last couple of months and has been our best player almost every week.
”He has definitely gone up a level and has been a key player for us, and other teams are now having to look at ways of combating him.
“It’s not a criticism but maybe Jermaine needs to get more goals – he now has eight after that hat-trick and hopefully he can get consistency in that area now.”
And rather than issue a hands-off warning to clubs McDonald said: “It’s a compliment that teams are looking at our players. We have a conveyor belt of good young lads coming through and if we can move them on and make some money for this club then that is fantastic.”
McDonald has signed midfielder Max Loveridge from Alvechurch.
