I WRITE in response to Queen of the NIMBYs (not in my back yard) Margaret Morley.

In all the years she has been writng to this paper she has only once made a positive statement.

Her spleen is ususally saved to be vented on those who run the council.

Anything changes in Morton Stanley Park and, hey presto, a letter from Mrs M appears.

We all remember the skate park she foretold would bring huge antisocial behaviour to the park – to the contrary many young people enjoy it without the gloom and doom she prophesied.

I would remind her Morton Stanley park was given to the “town” – that includes the young who have flocked to the park since we have had the new play features. I enjoy taking my grandchildren there when they visit.

As for dog poo bins, why shouldn’t Winyates have them? Don’t the people in Winyates pay their taxes, too? Morton Stanley Park is inundated with them.

As for the smell, just walk a little quicker, Mrs M.

I look forward to the day when Mrs Morley writes a letter saying something nice but I’m not holding my breath!
