HOW wonderful it was to spend most of Carnival Saturday in the town centre, along with so many other people, having such a good time on the fair, listening to the music in the bandstand and wandering round the many side stalls.
It was also a joy to watch the many nationalities of our town coming together to enjoy themselves – and about time too! Redditch has been starved for this kind of event for so long and we need it to happen more often.
The town centre with St Stephen’s church at its heart, is one of the remaining heritage sites in Redditch and is the very place where events can be held where the whole community can come together. Roll on next year for a bigger and even more successful day.
