Other Road must be made one-way. I am referring to the part of Other Road which runs parallel with Archer Road. This is one-way for about 50 yards at the junction with Easemore Rd, preventing access from Easemore Rd. However, about the same distance along Archer Rd there is an alley, just about a car’s width, which Other Rd residents use as a short-cut into their street, making Other Rd a 2-way street.
With parking on both sides, the road is only wide enough for one vehicle so the road is impassable if vehicles are travelling in both directions. As a regular user driving a service vehicle entering the street from Grove Street, I have often had to back down the street 50 yards or more to allow a vehicle to pass.
That vehicle would have used the short-cut.This is not illegal as the signage says,”access only”, but it creates chaotic situations unnecessarily when making the road oneway would solve the problem.
