I’M not surprised that the Alexandra Hospital is having difficulty in recruiting staff.
I can’t imagine anyone would want to apply for a job in a hospital which appears to offer little, or no, job security.
Therefore, if there are no applicants for jobs, then the trust can say that the situation is unsustainable, and “short-term mitigation” measures will be looked for as stated by Mrs Venables, and patients will be transferred to other sites.
Once this happens there will be no going back because, of course, the trust will have achieved what it wanted all the time.
