THE meeting opened with a minute’s silence while members remembered Elsie Morris, president from 1968-69, who recently passed away.

Richard Cook gave a entertaining talk on cane and rush work, with many fascinating and humorous facts. He gave demonstrations and had brought along many examples of his work The competition for something orange was won by Linda Williams with a vase full of Chinese Lanterns.
