PLANNING for the Green Fair and Fun in the Field, organised by the Lions and Redditch Council, is now the club’s main focus.

The event being held in Arrow Valley Park on Sunday, June 29, held for a number of years, is aimed for all the family to enjoy, from young ones to mums and dads.

As a flavour of what is planned, for the young ones there will be face painting, animals, rides and treats.

For Mums craft ideas and those special moments gifts, and for dads, classic cars, many on their first outings, new cars, and skill and strength tests.

A main arena event is being organised for all the family.

The Lions have raised a trophy for local cadet corps to challenge for. Invitations have gone out to teams from the Army, Sea Scouts, Marines, Air Training Corps, Young Firefighters and St.

John Ambulance, to challenge each other for the honour of winning the trophy.

There is a very keen competitiveness building between the teams and it is hoped that relatives of the team members will be rooting for them on the day. It will be a very exciting action filled challenge, that is hoped will become an annual event.

The Lions have taken a shop window for June in the Kingfisher Centre, opposite WH Smith, to promote the event and Cadet Challenge. Further details are available at redditchlions.org.uk
