The meeting began with the secretary’s report on the activities during the previous year – it was interesting to relive the experience of listening to many excellent speakers and places which had been visited.
The presentation of the financial statement followed.
It had been a successful year.
Income and expenditure for the period showed a small surplus for the year so the new financial year was starting on a firm footing. There was an acknowledgement to members for their support in the fundraising which had ensured a surplus.
