THE speaker on February 28 was Steve Gallagher from Optima Low Vision Services, who had travelled from Plymouth.
His talk covered lighting, magnifiers and filters designed to help people with macular degeneration.
The next meeting will be on Friday (March 28) at The Friends Meeting House, Sandhills Road, Barnt Green. The speaker will be Professor Jonathan Gibson, Department of Vision Sciences, University of Aston, a leading ophthalmologist, specialising in macular disease.
