WEBHEATH Digital Photographic Club started the year with the AGM.

Our winning photograph of the year plus our photographer of the year contest has taken place. The photograph competition involves three sections: monochrome – winner Graeme Tozer with Mountains in the Rain; colour – winner Richard Freail with Opposition Pass and creative – winner Graeme Tozer with Old and New.

Graeme Tozer was the overall winner of the photograph of the year with Mountains in the Rain, and Graeme also won photographer of the year – an ongoing competition throughout the year with points gained to produce an overall winner. The highest scoring new member for 2013 was Stuart Fletcher.

We recently enjoyed an excellent talk by local wildlife photographer Peter Preece.

Our next big event is a display of local history pictures throughout March in Redditch Library. We also have our first competition of the year, with Solihull Camera Club, as well as assignment nights, a Monday photoshoot, a technical evening, and Tony Winfield is returning for another speaker evening.

Please see further details on webheathdpc.com which also includes the club’s FLICKR page.

As always, we extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in digital photography, beginners as well as more experienced like minded people, who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in a sociable, friendly atmosphere.

Join us for a free evening to meet with existing members and visitors at Webheath Village Hall, Tuesday evenings 7.45pm start but please check website first.
