FIRE service community volunteers are being sought to assist Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Anyone aged 18 or over, with spare time on weekends or weekdays and keen to take on a rewarding challenge is invited to apply for the voluntary role which involves supporting key education campaigns aimed at making young people safer, supporting community events and fire station open days and visiting people in the community to raise awareness of how people can reduce the risk of fire within the home.
Volunteers also play a key part in supporting operational training, often acting as ‘casualties’ in training scenarios.
Senior community risk technician Caroline Webster said: “Our community volunteers provide much-needed support and help to educate people on how to keep themselves, family and friends safe.”
Applications close on Friday February 2.
