MORE than 100 pet owners visited the new Clent Hills Vets in Rubery for its educational open day.
Visitors to the New Road practice on April 22 were taken on a guided tour of the facility and given demonstrations on Ultrasound scans and general animal care.
Merryn the therapy dog assisted her owners Jackie and Keith Medler with a presentation about the role of therapy pets in schools, hospitals and prisons.
There was also face-painting and balloons for children.
A charity raffle raised £54 on the day for The Cinnamon Trust, to help elderly and terminally ill people care for their pets.
Marketing manager Amy Holloway said: "We were delighted to welcome so many people and quite a few pets to our event. Being new to the Rubery area we were unsure what the turnout would be like but it exceeded our expectations."
