A ST Patrick’s Day celebration at a Redditch care home helped to raise nearly £500 for charity.
Field View Residential Home on The Slough invited family, friends and the local community to mark the day with a celebration at the home on Saturday, March 17.
Visitors were treated to Irish food, Irish music, and a performance from Emma Charlotte Dance Academy, who raised £476 for Leukaemia Care.
The care home donated £100 towards their cause, while £196 was also raised for residents’ prizes and a raffle.
Care home manager Harpinder Birring said: “It was a beautiful day where the residents, staff, families and local community all came together to celebrate St Patrick’s day.
“Most importantly the residents had a great time, their smiles and laughs made this event worthwhile. We look forward to many more events in the near future.”
Mr Birring thanked Emma Charlotte Dance Academy for their performance, and the carers, family and friends for making the event a success.
