A WOMAN was grabbed by the neck by a masked BMX rider during an attempted robbery in Redditch.
West Mercia Police were called to Longdon Close shortly after 7.35am this morning (Wednesday, February 15).
A man wearing a dark hat, dark clothing, carrying a yellow bag and riding a BMX approached a woman in her 20s and took a purse from her bag. He also had his face covered at the time.
The victim challenged the man, who is reported to have grabbed her neck before leaving the area.
The woman managed to recover her purse and suffered minor injuries to her neck during the incident.
Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man matching the description in the area and urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 87s of February 15.
