POLICE are reassuring residents after two masked men burst into a pensioner's car and demanded cash from her.
The attempted robbery took place on Melen Street, Redditch, between 9.30pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday, September 27.
The unknown offenders are believed to have entered a silver Peugeot belonging to a woman in her 60s, before demanding money.
They left the area in an unknown direction.
DC Paul Lofthouse of West Mercia Police said: "Firstly, I would like to reassure local residents that we are treating this as an isolated incident.
"We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone behaving suspiciously in the area at the time.
"You may have heard a car horn being beeped or seen people leaving the area and could have important information that can help identify the offenders, who have been described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
"Please contact police on 101, quoting incident number 770s of 27 September if you can help."
