COMMUNITY groups, crafts people and local businesses from across the borough are invited to take up stalls at two of the town’s biggest annual events.

Morton Stanley Festival and Scarecrow Day in August both provide opportunities for community and craft stalls to display their wares to a captive audience.

Each year the two events draw in thousands of visitors and Redditch Borough Council are urging interested parties to come along and show off their goods and services.

Arts and events officer Val Wilson said: "Both of these events are well attended every year and provide an excellent opportunity for groups to make the most of the captive audience. It is the perfect space for craftspeople or groups to bring something interesting and unique to the events. Anyone interested should get in touch to see how they can get involved."

This year Morton Stanley Festival will take place on August 20 and 21 and Scarecrow Day will take place on 28th August at Forge Mill Needle Museum.

Morton Stanley Festival will once again bring a host of live music to Morton Stanley Park with a wide variety of acts across the two days. There will be a number of community and craft stalls together with children’s activities.

The ever popular Scarecrow Day will return with a whole host of scarecrow characters that will be judged by the Mayor of Redditch. There will also be a number of family friendly activities to take part in on the day.

Anyone interested in booking a stall can contact the Borough Council’s arts and events team on 01527 534030 or email events@redditchandbromsgrove.gov.uk.
