FAMILIES in Alcester are being urged to lace up their trainers and take part in sporty fun day.

A fun-packed event will include various activities including team relays, a mini assault course, badminton, rounders, sack races, sprints, tag game British Bulldog and the more unique, football golf, which blends the two popular sports together.

There will also be a range of food and drink on offer.

It is being organised by PCN Sports, a social enterprise offering youngsters more options in sport and training.

Organiser Toni Derrick said: "PCN Sports a group of professionals volunteering to transfer experience and skills to youngsters at risk of offending or lacking the support to engage with opportunities that can improve their physical well being or assist them to achieve their full potential.

Organisers are also looking for generous stall holders who would be willing to give a donation of their takings at the end of the day.

The event is taking place on August 29 from 10am to 4pm in Old Stratford Road.

No booking is required.

For more information or if you would like to be a stall holder call Toni Derrick on 07449804769.
