RESIDENTS looking to brush up on their internet skills or even take the online plunge are invited to take part in a computer course at Redditch Borough Council’s customer service centres.
As part of the ninth annual ‘Get Online’ campaign, which runs from October 12 to 18, customer service advisors will be on hand to show visitors what services are available at their fingertips.
Advisors will show internet newcomers a variety of skills including ways of communicating online and how to access council services including housing benefit and council tax support.
Council leader Bill Hartnett said: “The theme of this year’s campaign is about Making life easier – and being able to access services 24/7 is important in this day and age.
“Of course we still welcome our customers to come and see us – but want to arm them with the skills to get the service they want, when they want.”
