FIREFIGHTERS averted a potential explosion at a Bromsgrove house after a fire had broken out in a garage containing gas cylinders.
Crews from Redditch, Warwickshire and West Midlands Fire Service were called to the property on Ancestor Road, Withal at around 1.20pm yesterday (October 2) afternoon.
They found the garage at the house was well alight on arrival. But the incident was further complicated by the presence of acetylene cylinders.
Crews used compressed air foam to extinguish the fire before any further damage was caused.
