FORMER Conservative minster Michael Portillo will put his life under the spotlight at Redditch’s Palace Theatre later this month.
The 62-year-old best known for his role in politics will present his story In Life: A Game of Two Halves on Monday, October 19 at 7.15pm.
Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions about the former MP’s life and career as he reveals what he’s seen behind the scenes over the years, and the choices he has made.
Mr Portillo rose to fame as the Secretary of State for Employment between 1994 and 1995 and Secretary of State for Defence 1995 to 1997 and has since left politics to work in journalism.
He has written a weekly column in The Sunday Times for the last six years, is a theatre critic for The New Statesman and regularly appears on BBC 1’s This Week and Radio 4’s The Moral Maze.
