THE Redditch community is being appealed to for information by West Mercia Police following two burglaries at homes in Cardy Close, Batchley, and Tenbury Close, Church Hill North.

The burglaries happened between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesday, October 7 in Cardy Close and between 7am on Saturday, October 4 and 2.36am on Wednesday, October 15 in Tenbury Close.

In Cardy Close the offender gained access to the property and stole footwear and in Tenbury Close the offender forced entry. It is unknown what property has been taken from the Tenbury Close address at this stage.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “We are reminding householders to ensure their homes and outbuildings are secure by preventing access being gained by locking doors and accessible windows.

"You may want to join your local Neighbourhood Watch scheme to meet those living in your street, pass on crime prevention advice and resolve local issues. For neighbourhood watch contacts visit westmercia.police.uk/watch."

Anyone with any information about either of the incidents is asked to contact West Mercia Police on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 367 of October 8 2014 in relation to Cardy Close and 32 of October 15 2014 in relation to Tenbury Close.
