A CHARITY ball in Redditch to raise money for Help for Heroes has been hailed a great success by organisers.
The Heroes and Heroines Marquee Charity Ball was held on October 13 at the Southcrest Manor Hotel in Pool Bank.
The successful event, which included entertainment and a silent auction, raised £1,629.
Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry back in October 2007 to provide direct practical support to serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who have suffered serious injury either on operations or during training.
This support is provided through grants to individuals, other service charities and capital build projects including the building of four personnel recovery centres at Colchester, Tidworth, Catterick and Plymouth as part of the Defence Recovery Programme.
A hotel spokesman said: “It was a fantastic night, and we were delighted to be able to do something for such a worthy cause as Help for Heroes.”
