AN outdoor adventure challenge headed by British adventurer Bear Grylls’ Survival Academy Team will be taking place in the Ragley Estate during this year’s Game Fair.

The Bear Grylls Survival Academy will be putting 500 visitors through their paces during a two night survival challenge, on July 29 to 31, designed to suit all age groups and abilities.

During the weekend they will be taught fire-lighting, emergency shelter building, navigating harsh terrain, hunting and stalking, rope work, self-rescue and knife skills.

Academy managing director Paul Gardiner said: "The Bear Grylls Survival Academy is honoured to be part of this year’s Game Fair, bringing our brand of extreme adventure to this popular festival which celebrates the Great British countryside."

The Game Fair’s event director Tony Wall added: "We have promised visitors more choice, more fun and more Game Fair and The Bear Grylls Survival Academy is one of many new and exciting elements that we will be announcing over the next few weeks.

"Visitors will recognise The Game Fair they love but new activities and surprises at every corner will thrill and delight the crowds."

Instructors will share survival stories and behind-the-scene glimpses into filming with Bear Grylls.

General visitors to The Game Fair can also join in with a number of talks and lectures from instructors when they appear in The Game Theatre.
