RESIDENTS in Alcester and the surrounding district are being urged to join the South Warwickshire Citizens’ Academy.
People aged 18 plus can complete the 10 week course which provides information on policing services in the area.
A group of 25 students will develop a knowledge of policing, be engaged with the police and other agencies, and may become more involved in the wider police groups such as the Neighbourhood Watch or independent advisory groups.
The sessions will take place every Wednesday, 6.30 to 8.30pm at Warwickshire Justice Centre and Leek Wootton Newbold Terrace, Leamington Spa, starting April 13 and finishing June 15.
The closing date is Monday, March 28. Successful applicants will be subject to security checks.
