THIS weekend people are being invited to sample a selection of refreshing beverages during the annual Alcester Real Ale and Cider Trail
The event, now in its third year, is being held at a number of the town’s pubs on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday August 30.
A total of 11 venues will be taking part: The White Lion, The Lord Nelson, The Royal Oak, The Bear Hotel, The Turks Head, Hollybush, The Cross Keys, The Swan Hotel, The Three Tuns, Alcester Unionist Club and The Dog and Partridge.
A variety of entertainment will be put on at the venues.
On Saturday the Holly Bush will have live music all day with the folk group the Worcestershire Levellers entertaining crowds from 8.30pm.
On Sunday a folk music session will take place from 8pm and guests are invited to bring an instrument if they would like to join in.
At the Turks Head the garden bar will be open from noon on Saturday and there will be live music on Sunday.
There will also be a barbecue from 1 until 5pm on both days as long as the weather permits.
The event is free to enter.
