Kings Norton 52 Warley 0
KINGS eased into the next round of the EDF Energy Vase without kicking a ball as opponents Bredon Star were unable to raise a team.
Warley stepped in as last-minute opponents in a friendly.
Both sides were below strength with Kings drafting in half-a-dozen second team players.
Whitehouse opened the scoring after five minutes with an easy penalty and the hosts added five first-half tries through Mark Martin, Jan Van Der Walt - converted by Whitehouse - Tim Hodson, and a brace by Dornal Davidson.
After the break Van Der Walt and Martin both scored their second tries, one converted by Whitehouse, and Chris Hands, with Phil Cooksey, completing the scoring with unconverted touch downs.
Coach Clive Chapman was pleased with his players' no-nonsense approach to this game as they delivered a workmanlike victory against a Warley side who themselves were also below full strength.
Kings host unbeaten Stourport in the league on Saturday (ko 2.30pm).
