A 10-YEAR-old autistic boy has seen his dreams come true after having his favourite bus named after him.

Last year Edward Littlehales, from Catshill, asked if “his” bus, which he regular visits at Pesnett bus garage, could come to Bromsgrove.

The bus, which Edward recognises from the registration BX09 PGE, visited Catshill Social Club as a birthday treat.

Since the special day, National Express workers at Pensnett suggested the bus be dedicated to Edward and his name put on it, remaining there for the life of the bus.

Edward, who attends Pitcheroak Special Needs School in Redditch, visited the bus garage on June 6, took a tour, and helped put his name on the bus.

Edward’s mum, Carole Littlehales, said: “Edward is totally dedicated to his bus and visits it every week through wind, rain and snow.

“If 'his' bus is out of service, Edward makes his dad drive to Pensnett Bus Garage and Edward looks at it through the railings.

“I don't think the managers and staff realise how wonderful they have been to Edward and how much we truly appreciate their kindness and generosity.

“They have made one little boy very happy.”
