A REDDITCH hair salon helped to make one woman’s day last week when she took a leap for February 29 and proposed to her boyfriend.

Kealey Veitch proposed to her boyfriend of four years Neil Harrison, live on a Birmingham radio station, as part of its Leap Day celebrations.

Once Mr Harrison had accepted, Miss Veitch was whisked away to be pampered by Redditch’s own Legends Hair and Beauty.

Staff at the salon gave Miss Veitch a full makeover for the afternoon, before she was collected by a limousine company and driven to meet Mr Harrison, for a romantic evening at the Hilton Hotel in Bromsgrove, where the couple enjoyed a red carpet fanfare, and a romantic meal for two.

Miss Veitch said: "Having been together for four years, with two children Macie and Mason, I felt it time that we moved forward with our relationship, and I wanted to utilise my prerogative of proposing to Neil on the 29 February 2012.

"I was very nervous but Foxy and Giuliano from the BRMB breakfast show were great, and really helped me to keep my cool. And when Neil said yes, I had such a rush of emotions.

"My afternoon at Legends Hair and Beauty was absolutely fantastic, and I felt like a true princess when I left in the Xtreme Limo.

"Our evening was spent at The Hilton Hotel where we were both treated like royalty and everything about our special day was absolutely fantastic."
