WORCESTER Birmingham Canal Society is celebrating its 40th anniversary this weekend with a boat festival at Tardebigge.

The society is expecting more than 50 boats, including the original working boats Atlas and Malus to be moored around Tardebigge top lock.

It will also have its own community boat Cecilia on show which is available for groups of people on a day, weekend or week basis.

Breakfast will be served in the Tardebigge Community Centre on Saturday and Sunday.

Food will be available all day and there will be a real ale bar on Saturday and Sunday featuring 10 real ales plus Tardebigge Cider.

Craft stalls, Appalachian dancers and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings will guarantee an enjoyable weekend for everyone.
