THE third annual sports day and fete promoted by the Studley men’s Adult School was held in the grounds adjoining Studley Holt Farm by permission of Mr J Green on Monday.
The proceedings commenced with a procession from the Adult School Institute, prizes being offered for the best fancy costume or decorated vehicle but as their were no entries the procession was rather a tame affair.
It was accompanied by the Studley Prize Fire Brigade, in uniform, led by the Studley Military Band.
The streets were paraded and then a move was made to the grounds, where the sports were immediately commenced.
The weather remained fine throughout the day and there were a large gathering of spectators.
