REDDITCH Youth Club have been selected to perform their prize winning play “Sunday Costs Five Pesos” at the National Union of Teachers Exhibition at the London Olympia.
It is a result of their success against nine drama groups at Bridgnorth last week. Their producer was Mrs Janice Goodall.
They were taking part in a youth drama festival and were selected by Mr Leo Baker, chairman of the Council of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators and Drama Advisor to the Carnegie UK Trust.
He complimented Redditch on their excellent team work and spirit in the performance of the play, a comedy with a mexican flavour.
The nine groups which Redditch competed against were from Herefordshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire.
