REDDITCH Urban District Council’s Public Works Committee is to try and clear up the confusion about the similarity in the names of certain roads by considering whether to re-name them at their next meeting.
Residents in Easemore Road and Easemore Lane who have been asked for their views showed that 61 were in favour of a re-numbering and re-naming plan and 63 were opposed to it.
Those in favour, however, expressed a preference for Easemore Lane being re-named and re-numbered as part of Easemore Road.
Only five residents favoured a similar proposal in respect of Forge Mill Road and Forge Mill Lane. Thirty-seven were against it.
