REDDITCH stands with the people of Ukraine following its attack from Russia, Rachel Maclean has said.
The MP said Russia will face sanctions to "cripple" its economy from the UK after President Putin ordered military attacks on Ukraine this morning.
She also branded Russia's attack "illegal and unprovoked".
Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, said: “On this darkest of days for Europe and the world, my thoughts are with the people of Ukraine following Russia’s illegal and unprovoked attack on a free, democratic and sovereign country.
“The Putin regime and the Russian economy will pay a heavy price for the war it is raging on Ukraine. A war of Putin’s choosing and no one else’s.
“The UK, along with our allies, will today agree a massive package of economic sanctions designed in time to cripple the Russian economy.
“Redditch and the UK stands with the people of Ukraine.”
