RESIDENTS hoping to get back to work after having a family or a period out of work can get advice and support at two roadshow events.

The events are designed for anyone hoping to take their first steps back to work and will offer guidance around:

  • Money advice
  • Childcare options
  • Building self-confidence
  • JobCentre support
  • Digital support
  • CV writing

There will also be the opportunity to receive a gift (limited availability) on a first-come first-served basis.

The first event will take place on Monday, February 21 at Redditch Library, from 10.30 am until 12 pm and the second event will be hosted at Rubery Library on Thursday, March 10 from 9.30 to 11 am.

Starting Well Partnership Bromsgrove and Redditch are working alongside Redditch and Rubery Libraries and the Department for Work and Pensions/Job Centre to bring an advisory event to parents hoping to get back into work.

Victoria Smith, community health connector, said: “Getting back into work after having a family or being out of work for some time can be challenging but there is a lot of help available.

"To support residents to take their first steps towards this, in a no-pressure environment, we are pleased to be working with partners to join up all this information and help our residents in a simple, easily accessible way.”

Interested residents from Rubery, Bromsgrove District and Redditch are invited to attend either of the events.
